Ten Things You Never Knew About Me

This entry is inspired by a recent entry I read from someone who I like to consider a friend, but more importantly a manly man ;) Yes, Jay I do mean you.

As the title suggests these will be ten things that you ever knew about me. It's been a while since I posted and I think that perhaps this might be a great way to get back in to things. So here we go. Ten things that you never knew about keroberros:

1. I used to be a straight A student who had an interview for Oxford University. I didn't actually get in but the week I spent there living above a toy store (yes HPFF staff a toy store) was immensely fun and I made some cracking friends including the runner up to play Lavender Brown in the HBP movie ;)

2. When I was younger I used to do poetry recitals. Yes I would stand up in front of a hall of people and recite poetry from memory. It tied in well with the drama work I did from age 8. So that sexy UK voice you all hear on the podcasts was shaped by those lovely little readings and plays.

3. I have danced on stage in a potato sack. Some explanation: back in 9th grade my school put on a stage version of The Nightmare Before Christmas in which I was cast as Oogie Boogie. My costume was divine! It was made from hessian and was star shaped. The only way in to the costume was through a zip at the bottom from shin to shin. It was ridiculously hot and I had to dance and sing with it. And my mic pack couldn't be turned off in the costume so I couldn't speak for the whole thing....nice.

4. I am actually engaged. This came as a big shock to a lot of people and resulted in a glorious win for the dark side (staff will get that one)

5. Trying to keep this relatively clean is hard. Really hard. I have loads of corrupting facts I could tell you but I don't think the world at large is quite ready for that.

6. I used to work at a KFC when I was 15/16. I was desperate for money and I got more than minimum wage. I even made shift supervisor on a Friday night. Exciting stuff no? The drawback: I really don't like KFC anymore.

7. My Dad tried to sell me for 200 camels. Shocking I know. I'm worth at least 400 according to WeasleyTwinMom but 200 was the deal. I avoided the beach in Tunisia after that.

8. I am a bit of a mongrel nationality wise and even more so once I marry. My father is British, my mother half Irish and half Hungarian. The fiancé is American. This greatly amused my Study Abroad co-ordinator who then asked me to speak Hungarian........I know one word that isn't a dish my mother makes and that is "thank-you" aka cussanum (it's by no means spelled correctly but that's how you say it).

9. I am probably going to die before my twenty-first birthday, especially if certain people have anything to do with it. This is of course a joke but it doesn't stop me being slightly wary of my planned summer excursions.

10. I have never thrown up from being drunk and have a ridiculously high tolerance for alcohol. I prefer to drink a lot before leaving so I don't bankrupt myself whilst out. It's a very real threat and I need my money to live. There's things that need to be bought....like boots.

And there we have it, ten things that you didn't know about keroberros. Unless of course you're a creepy stalker, in which case you probably did know some of those.....yes I am looking at you PrincessPadfoot.

I'm guessing your view of me has probably changed and that's cool with me. I have willingly embraced my new nicknames ;)

Toodles,
Kero
