So, today is the day that all the universities in the UK find out what the people who applied to them got in their A Levels. Now, the official release isn't actually until Thursday aka when I get them aka D-Day. Now I went through all this last year: the dread, the excitement, the disappointment etc. Hopefully this year it will stop and the excitement and their will be no disappointment. The reason for the disappointment wasn't all that surprising to me really but I had hoped that I had overcome all the crap that had been going in on my life and done okay. Needless to say that was shot to pieces.
This time round I can't wait to get it over with. I already have all of the grades that I need bar one. I've taken two subjects for this period and I just need a B from one of them. That's it. I'm quietly confident about it because English Literature is a subject that I'm really good at. If I don't quote get the B then there is a contingency plan.
I've applied to do American Studies and History BA Hons. In preparation to get a J.D from America. Now at the place that I am planning on going to, if I don't get the grades I can change the course to just American Studies or American Studies and Film Studies. I'd be happy to do either of those because at the end of the day American Studies is the one I want to do. The contingency is brilliant because I already have the required grades for it. However, if I do better I may change the course anyway and do English and American Literatures.
Decisions, decisions. Needless to say that Thursday will be D-Day and I will have to decide just what exactly I will be doing for the next three years.
Oh hun, here's hopping for the best I hope you get exactly what is right for you and what you need/want! I'm excited for you and I know you did great! Be sure to tell me those results!
ReplyDelete-Hugs- thanks scoots! The second I open the envelope I'll tweet them out!
